For the purposes of this website, emotional issues have been separated from mental health conditions. The word conditions is used to refer to mental health conditions that can be formally diagnosed, while the term issues is used to describe non-diagnosable issues that typically have an emotional aspect.
All formally diagnosable conditions are based upon the diagnostic criteria found in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, also known as the DSM. Click on any of the conditions listed below for additional information. Please note however that not all of the links below are formal diagnoses. While most are formal diagnoses, some are simply descriptive terms. If you prefer, you can view the entire list of diagnosable conditions and emotional issues by clicking here.
